Up Goer Five (In Simple English)

Brilliant. Especially love "This end should point to the ground if you want to go to space. If it starts point toward space, you are having a bad problem and you will not go to space today."

There are around a half-million words in the full Oxford English Dictionary, though most people use only a few thousand in everyday communication. Randall Munroe of xkcd explains the Saturn V rocket using only the 1,000 most commonly-used English words.
